Can I keep my wishlist even after the special event I started it for is over? |
Yes! With GotVCU.com, you can continue to add gifts as often as you like, even after a special event is over. Since your wishlist is free, we usually advise members to keep it open even after the event they initially started their wishlist for has passed. You can update and change your wishlist at any time, so your Christmas Wishlist can easily switch to a Birthday Wishlist down the road. Your wishlist at GotVCU.com works for any gift-giving occasion, and in your hectic life there are always special events and holidays on the horizon. |

My guests are not computer savvy. Will they be able to use GotVCU.com? |
We find that using GotVCU.com is so simple, even people who are not comfortable with their computers can easily master the site. To purchase a gift, all they need to do is click it and they'll be immediately directed to the website where the item can be bought. All of the details are already taken care of for them. From there, your guests need to simply add the item to their shopping cart and check out.
People who aren't comfortable shopping online can ask anyone to print a wishlist off of our site to be purchased at a store, although it's certainly more convenient to buy the gift online. After a gift is purchased in a store, it needs to be marked on the site as ‘Purchased’ to keep the wishlist updated. That can be done by anyone, even you. Select ‘Marking Gifts as Purchased’ from the menu above to learn more.

It is completely free to open and view a GotVCU.com wishlist. GotVCU.com members and their guests have access to nearly all of our services at no cost, with the exception of our optional Cash Gift Service. How do I tell my friends and family that I've set up a wishlist at GotVCU.com? |
Use our convenient e-Announcements to inform your friends and family about your upcoming birthday party, Christmas party or graduation party. We'll add a link to your message connecting them to your wishlist. Simply log in to your account, click the ‘e-Announcements’ tab, and choose from several stylishly-designed eCards. After you enter each e-mail address, your visitors will receive an eCard with a link to your wishlist. You can also track who you've sent cards to by clicking 'View history of cards sent,' located near the bottom of that same page. |

How do my visitors see what gifts I have listed on my wishist? |
Your visitors can find your wishlist using our 'Find a Wishlist' feature, located on the top of the GotVCU.com homepage. To search your wishlist, they'll need to enter your first and last name in the indicated fields. After being directed to your wishlist, guests will be able to view your gifts instantly.
You may also view your wishlist as a guest by using the 'Find a Wishlist' feature. Simply log in to your account and click the "View what your visitors see" link located on the center top of your wishlist.

Can I find out who has visited my wishlist? |
You can learn which guests have looked at your wishlist by utilizing the 'e-Announcements' section of our site. To access this page, simply log in to your account and click the 'e-Announcements' tab.
In this section, we offer several attractive eCards designed to help you notify loved ones about your wishlist. After you enter your guests' e-mail addresses, your visitors will receive an eCard with a direct link to GotVCU.com. If you'd like to be informed of who has viewed your wishlist, please make sure to click the little box next to 'Notify me when the recipient has viewed my wishlist,' before you send your eCards. You can also check how many eCards you've sent and to whom by clicking 'View history of cards sent,' located near the bottom of that same page.

If I already have a wishlist at another store (like Amazon.com or Target), how will that work with GotVCU.com? |
GotVCU.com completely eliminates the need for wishlists at specific stores. For example, instead of creating a wsihlist with Amazon.com and selecting all of your gifts from that store, you can choose some items from Amazon, some items from Target, and some items from Best Buy, and with one click add the products from all of these stores to your wishlist at GotVCU.com! After you add these items, go to a different store, find another item you desire and add it to your wishlist, as well. Add as many items as you wish, from as many stores as you like, all under one centralized, personalized and easy-to-use wishlist. You can even list an offline gift from the local shop around the corner!
Our service does not support the automatic combination of existing wishlists. We recommend that our members add all of the items from their existing wishlists to GotVCU.com. Once you add your items to GotVCU.com, we suggest that avoid using other wishlists to prevent duplicate purchasing.

Is it possible to have more than one wishlist at GotVCU.com using the same account information? I already have a Birthday Wishlist and I would like to create a Graduation Wishlist without deleting the Birthday Wishlist first. |
We do not recommend having two wishlists under the same exact name because it creates confusion for your guests when trying to locate the correct wishlist.
To create the appearance of more than one wishlist, you can simply categorize your existing wishlist. Create a category called "Birthday Gifts" and move all the items you want for your birthday under that category. Then add another category and label it something like "First Job" for all your Graduaton gifts.
To create a category on your wishlist, log in to your account and click the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. Then click the ‘Edit Categories’ button and under the 'Create a New Category' section, add a category title (example: "Birthday Gifts"). Please make sure you click the ‘Add Category’ button when you are done.
When you add a new item to your wishlist, you have the option of selecting a category for that item so that it will automatically appear under the chosen category.
To move an existing item on your wishlist to a different category, simply log in to your account, select the 'Manage Gifts' tab, find the item and click the 'Edit Gift' button in that row. In the 'Edit Gift' page, select the new category from the drop-down list and click 'Save Changes'. Now that item should appear under the category you chose.

I have two accounts at GotVCU.com. How will my guests know to view the right wishlist? |
We do not recommend having two wishlists under the same exact name because it creates confusion for your guests when trying to locate the correct wishlist. If you would like to cancel one of your accounts, please contact us using the message box on the right and specify the exact name, username and password of the account you would like to cancel. |

More than one person in my household has an account on GotVCU.com. When I try to add gifts to my account, the gifts are added to the account of a roommate or family member who uses the same computer. How can I make sure my gifts are added to the right account? |
If more than one person in your household has a GotVCU.com account and you're using the same computer to manage those accounts (or even if you, personally, have more than one account), there's no need to install additional 'Gotta Have It!' buttons on your browser to make certain that you're adding gifts to the right wishlist.
When you're ready to add a gift to your wishlist, click the 'Gotta Have It!' button, but make sure you're logged in to the account you want to add gifts to. On the top of the page that opens up you will see the name of the account holder. If you wish to add gifts to a different account than the name you see, simply click the 'If you are not XYZ, click here' link. You'll be asked to log in to the right account and from here you can easily add gifts to the correct wishlist.

Why is it important that I use my real first and last name when creating my wishlist? |
We highly suggest that when you create a wishlist, you use your first name and last name. If your guests do not know, they'll type your real first name and last name, and won't be able to locate your wishlist since you used something different as a first name. We recommend using your real first and last name, then adding an additional name if you'd like by clicking the 'Edit Wishlist' tab in the 'Account Info' section. |

Can my guests use international credit cards to buy gifts for me at GotVCU.com? |
GotVCU.com is the ultimate wishlist that allows you to add items from any store in the world. Although our company is based in the United States, we have members from many different countries. With GotVCU.com, your wishlist is truly global.
If some of your guests are from other countries, whenever possible you should add gifts from global retailers (like Amazon.com) who accept credit cards from anywhere in the world. Since GotVCU.com is not the store that your guests are purchasing from but rather the service that directs them to the stores on your wishlist, we're unable to dictate the rules that each store has regarding international credit cards. If an international guest is having trouble purchasing a gift, we'll do our best to assist them in finding the same item from a store that will accept their credit card. Please send us the title and price of the gift using the message box on the right.

Can I request cash on my Wishlist? |
Yes, at GotVCU.com you have the option to set up a special Cash Gift Service for your Wish List. This will allow your friends and family to send you cash gifts in any denomination easily and effortlessly by using a credit card.

What is a Cash Gift Service? |
A Cash Gift Service is a feature on GotVCU.com that enables you to tastefully request cash gifts. You can name and customize your special cash fund, and it will be housed on your Wish List with the rest of your gifts. Your friends and family can choose to send you a cash gift in any denomination. Your special cash gift account is operated by PayPal in conjunction with GotVCU.com. PayPal is a secure and easy way to send money from one person to another, and its services are available to anyone with an e-mail address. Recipients can connect their PayPal account to their bank account, transfer their balance, or just make payments from their PayPal account. Through PayPal, your special Cash Gift Account is as good as having cash. |

How much does it cost to set up a Cash Gift Service? |
GotVCU.com does not charge any fees to activate your Cash Gift Service. However, your special cash gift account is operated by PayPal in conjunction with GotVCU.com, and PayPal's low transaction fees apply when a cash gift is sent to you. The maximum transaction fee for a US member is 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction (i.e. $3.29 for a $100 contribution to your cash gift account). For international members, please refer to PayPal's Terms and Conditions. |

How do I sign up for a Cash Gift Service? |
You can sign up for your own special Cash Gift Service fund as soon as you open an account with GotVCU.com, or at any later date. If you've already established an account with GotVCU.com, look for the link to set up a Cash Gift Account on the 'Manage Gifts' tab after you log in. You can customize your Cash Gift account name and change it at any time. .
Cash gifts contributed to your Cash Gift Fund will be deposited into your personal bank account directly. You will be asked to provide your bank account information when you activate your optional Cash Gift Service on your GotVCU.com account. GotVCU.com's server is completely secure so you can rest assured that your info is safe. |

How do I receive or withdraw the money contributed to my Cash Gift Service? |
GotVCU.com's Cash Gift Service directly deposits the money your guests contribute to your personal bank account (you provide this information when you activate your Cash Gift Fund). You can access the funds the way you would regularly withdraw funds from your bank account. You can also view the history of and information on all transactions posted to your Cash Gift Service on your GotVCU.com account.

How do I know when a guest has contributed money to my Cash Gift Service? |
To view when a visitor to your wishlist contributes money to a cash gift fund, you can also log in to your GotVCU.com account and click the 'Manage Gifts' tab. Once your cash gift account is activated, you'll see under 'Purchased By' the name and amount of the contribution. The visitor making the contribution provides the information about his/her cash gift. If the visitor wants to notify you of their contribution to your cash gift account, they'll have the option to send you an eCard through GotVCU.com. However, if you want to be notified when someone purchases a gift for you or contributes money to your cash gift account, you must log in to your account and click the 'Edit Wishlist' tab. Under 'Account Info' you'll have the option to receive e-mails or text messages by clicking the appropriate box.

How do I make changes or edit the information on my Cash Gift Service? |
If you want to make any changes to your Cash Gift Fund's name or notes, simply log in to your account and click the 'Manage Gifts' tab. Click the ‘Edit Cash Gift Account’ button on the same line as your Cash Gift Fund and you'll be able to make changes to the name and notes of your Cash Gift fund. Please remember to click the 'Update' button to save any changes. |

I opened up a Cash Gift Service and it does not appear on my wishlist. |
To open up your Cash Gift Account, you must provide information about your personal bank account so our secure server can directly deposit any cash gift funds contributed to your wishlist. If you do not provide this information, your Cash Gift Fund will not be activated. Your special cash fund should appear on your wishlist within 24 hours.
It is possible that the process wasn’t completed or timed out and you need to finish setting up your account. Under ‘Manage Gifts’ you’ll see the status of your cash account. If it’s says ‘Pending’ that means the process was started but not completed. You can click the ‘Activate’ link below pending to complete the sign up where you left off.
If it’s not pending nor active and yet you have signed up for a cash gift account, please contact us.

Can I set up more than one Cash Gift Service on my wishlist? |
Currently, you can only have one 'Cash Gift' fund on your registry. We think having multiple 'Cash Gifts' is a great idea and hope to expand the 'Cash Gift' feature in the future. In the meantime, we suggest listing in your 'Notes' section the different items you intend to buy with the contributions such as airplane tickets, dinner for two or any large item purchase. When your guests contribute to your fund, they'll have the option to send you an eCard where they can specify which gift they are contributing towards. |

I did not sign up for a Cash Gift fund. Why do I see it on my wishlist? |
Our Cash Gift Service shows on all members' Manage Gifts page as a new service, but it must be manually activated. As long as you do not activate the service, it will not be visible to your visitors.
We designed the Cash Gift Service so that it will always be accessible to you, in case you ever want to activate it in the future. We find that many of our members enjoy the Cash Gift Service and are happy to receive cash gifts through GotVCU.com.

When you are viewing your friend's registry, click the button 'Give a Cash Gift' and follow the instructions. You will be directed to their dedicated PayPal account and will be able to send a cash gift using the following methods of payment: PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. |

How do I contribute money to a Cash Gift fund? |
Once you view your friend’s wishlist, click the 'Give a Cash Gift' button. You will need to enter your name, e-mail, and the contribution amount and then click the 'Continue to PayPal' button which will automatically direct you to the official PayPal site. Follow PayPal's instructions as to how to contribute money towards a Cash Gift Fund. When you finish, it is important that you click the 'Return to MyRegistry.com' link soo that we can mark the contribution on your friend's registry. Please note that PayPal is a secure and easy way to send money from one person to another, and it is available to anyone with an e-mail address. Recipients can connect their PayPal account to their bank account, transfer their balance, or just make payments from their PayPal account. Through PayPal, your contribution is as good as giving cash! |

When you send a cash gift through GotVCU.com, you are sending it to an account at PayPal that has been provided by the registry holder. You will get a confirmation directly from PayPal that your gift has been delivered to the proper account. |

How does the recipient of a cash gift know who the gift came from? |
Every cash gift will be clearly marked in several places for the account holder to identify it, but GotVCU.com will also give you the option to send an attractive eCard along with your cash gift immediately after your payment is processed. GotVCU.com members are notified by e-mail when cash gifts are contributed to their account. |

| Securing your Wishlist with a password |

Should I set up a visitors’ password? |
When you add a visitors' password to your account, ONLY your guests can view your wishlist. Your account is always secure even without a password, (no one can edit it, cancel it or change any information), but if you choose not to add a password, it means that anyone can easily VIEW your wishlist. They cannot add, change or delete items on your wishlist, but they can mark a gift as 'Purchased', view your photos, event information, shipping address or any other information you choose to post on your wishlist for your guests. That's why we highly recommend adding a visitors' password to your account.
You can always add, remove or change your visitors' password when you login to your account and go to 'Edit Wishlist'.

How do I add or change the Visitors’ Password? |
To add or change your visitors’ password, please log in to your account and click the ‘Edit Wishlist’ tab. In the 'Edit Profile' page, under 'Account Info', you will see ‘Your visitors’ password’. All you need to do is make the changes to your password and click 'Update'. |

What happens if a visitor does not remember my password? |
When your visitor locates your wishlist through ‘Find a Wishlist’, they can click ‘Request Password’. This option sends a request to your e-mail and you may choose to provide your password to that guest. |

How do I tell my friends that I added or changed my visitors’ password? |
You need to log in to your account and click the ‘Announcements’ tab. Select a theme, enter your friends’ e-mail addresses and add your message. Check the box ‘Allow the receiver to use the link without entering my visitors' password’ if you want your friends to be directed straight to your wishlist. |

I don't know my friend’s password. How can I view their wishlist? |
When you click the 'Go to Their Registry' button and are asked to enter a password, it means that your friend has a password securing their wishlist. If you don't know your friend's password, please click the 'Request Password' button, enter your name and e-mail and click 'Send' to ask them for the password to their wishlist. |

Can my guests view my wishlist without a password? |
It's your choice whether or not to have a visitors’ password. If your account asks for a password to view the wishlist, it means that you entered one when you first signed up to open an account. GotVCU.com recommends having a visitors' password to protect your wishlist from unauthorized people viewing or changing it. Nevertheless, canceling your visitors' password is easy to do if you wish to. Simply log in to your account, click the 'Edit Wishlist' tab and in the 'Edit Profile' page under 'Account Info', you will see ‘Your visitors’ password’. All you need to do is delete your password and click 'Update'. |

I don’t remember my visitors’ password. What should I do? |
Please log in to your account and click the ‘Edit Wishlist’ tab. In the 'Edit Profile' page, under 'Account Info', you will see your visitors’ password. You can also change or delete it if you wish. You must click 'Update' to make any changes final. |

I created my account without a password for my visitors. Can I add a password now? |
Yes. To add a visitors’ password, please login to your account and click the ‘Edit Wishlist’ tab. In the 'Edit Profile' page, under 'Account Info', you will see ‘Your visitors’ password.' Add a password and click 'Update,' and from this point on anyone who wishes to view your wishlist will have to enter that password. |

What stores can I add items from? |
As a member of GotVCU.com, you can add gifts from any store in the world to your wishlist. Choose gifts from foreign countries or that little boutique down the street, regardless of whether or not your favorite stores have websites. You can also get creative and add items like airplane tickets, horseback riding lessons, or a romantic dinner for two at your favorite restaurant. Our time-saving site is easy to manage and fun for friends and family to use. Go wild and add as many items as you want. The only limit to what you can add is your imagination. |

How do I add an item to my wishlist? |
Adding gifts to your wishlist is easy. Whenever you come across an item on an Internet site that you'd like to add, simply press the ‘Gotta Have It’ button. A new window should pop up that will prompt you to log in and type in the details of the item you're adding. Then, press the ‘Gotta Have It’ button and the item you've chosen will be automatically added to your wishlist. If you need instructions for adding the button to your browser, please go to ‘Using the ‘Gotta Have It’ button’ link on the right. |

Where can I find gifts to add to my wishlist? |
You can add a gift from any store in the world, but if you need inspiration, take a look at our ‘Gift Ideas’ center. Here, browse millions of items according to your style. See what gifts are hot right now or what people have recently put in their wishlists–and add these popular products to your wishlist with one click! You may also browse over 800 of our recommended stores by clicking the ‘Find Stores’ tab. |

How can my guests contribute towards a big item on my wishlist? |
If you'd like to offer your guests partial payment purchases, please set up a Cash Gift account on your wishlist. You can give it a name and add notes so that your guests will know exactly what you've designated your special fund for. Please select ‘Receiving Cash Gifts’ from the menu above to learn more.
If you don't want to set up a Cash Gift fund, you can choose items from a store that also sells gift certificates. We find that many of our members post the quantity of gift certificates they need to purchase a particular item on their wishlist. In the notes section, describe what you want to purchase to give the buyers of your gift certificates an idea of what the certificates are for. GotVCU.com easily allows you to add multiples of the same item by entering the quantity desired in the proper box. It's simple!

How do I let my guests know the exact size and color of the gift I want? |
We highly recommend being as direct and detailed as possible when describing the gift you're registering for (color, size, title, etc). Use the ‘Notes’ section of each gift to specify information when you add or edit an item. When your visitors go to purchase your gift, this kind of information will allow them to buy exactly what you want.
To add 'Notes' to an item, simply log in to your account and click the 'Manage Gifts' tab. Click the 'Edit Gift' button of the item you want to add 'Notes' to and you'll see a section where you can type more details about a particular gift. Once you finish adding your 'Notes' make sure to click the 'Save Changes' button so all of your information is saved.
You can also indicate specific details about a gift when initially adding that item to your registry. In the 'Gotta Have It' window you'll see the 'Notes' section (underneath the space where you enter the price of the item). Simply add any additional information there and you'll be on your way to opening the exact gift you'd hoped for!

Should I add online gifts or offline gifts to my wishlist? |
When you add an online gift to your wishlist, you're actually setting up a direct link, simplifying the purchasing process for your visitors. We highly recommend adding online gifts to your wishlist.
When you add an offline gift (a gift that is not linked to an online store), your guests will need to print each item and purchase it in the brick-and-mortar store, or search for it on the web. They'll also need to go back to your wishlist to mark that gift as ‘Purchased’ after they buy it.

Can I add gifts to my wishlist without showing them to my guests? |
To add gifts to your wishlist without showing them to your guests, simply add them to the 'Private' category which can only be viewed by YOU (select ‘Private’ from the drop-down menu when adding a gift). This is a great tool that many of our members use to create their own shopping list for future gifts. For example, if you would like two similar gifts, but you wish someone would buy you one of them first, you can "save" the other one under the 'Private' category. Then, once the first item is bought, you can easily change the category of the second item to make it visible on your wishlist for your visitors. |

When my guests go to buy gifts, the link to the store does not work. Are there stores I should not add gifts from? |
It could be that you added gifts from a website that uses Flash technology, in which case the link to the product will not work. Websites that ask you for your state or ZIP code before entering may also cause issues. We do not recommend adding gifts from sites where items do not have their own web pages. You don't want to confuse your guest by connecting to a page full of different items. We also do not recommend using sites where your visitors will have to pay a premium, such as member sites like Costco or Sam’s Club. If you've already added gifts to your shopping cart from a problematic store, go back to your wishlist and add new items. You can easily log in and delete the old items by clicking on the 'Manage Gifts' button.
Also, if you add gifts to your wishlist after you've already added those items to your shopping cart at the store's site, the links to these items will not function properly on your wishlist. Delete the items and go back to the store's website. Add the items from their individual page within the store's site but DO NOT add them to your shopping cart before putting them on your wishlist. |

How do I add an item from an actual store (not a website)? |
You can simply add an offline gift by clicking the ‘Add Offline Gift’ button located in your ‘Manage Gifts’ page. There you will need to provide information describing the gift (including title, description, quantity desired and price) and the store where it can be purchased (such as the name of the store and address).
If your guest decides to buy you an offline gift they will need to return to your wishlist and update the gift status. They simply need to click the 'Buy Gift' button of the item they bought. A window will open where GotVCU.com will ask for the quantity bought. They will need to click 'Mark this Gift as Purchased' button and that gift will become unavailable.

How do I set up charitable donations on my wishlist? |
There are several ways you can set up your wishlist to include charitable donations.
- Set up one master account using our Cash Gift Service and have your guests contribute to this master account for charities using Visa or Mastercard. You can then divide the contributions to the charities of your choice.
- Set the donations up as an Offline Gift, setting up each charity individually with their information and whom to contact to make donations.
- Go to http://www.charitygiftcertificates.org/ and add a gift certificate to your registry.
- If you want to establish a fund through a website that specializes in sending charitable donations, use our 'Gotta Have It' button when you're on their site. This will set up a direct link for your guests to make a charitable donation through the website you've chosen.

I clicked the ‘Gotta Have It’ button to add a gift, but no gift was added. |
When you click the ‘Gotta Have It' button, a small pop-up window should open up. If that window does not open up, it is because you are using a pop-up window blocker which you need to disable.
First, try to click the ‘Gotta Have It’ button while holding down your CTRL key.
To disable the Pop-up window blocker:
In Internet Explorer browser, you will see a yellow bar between your browser's toolbar and the page, asking you if you want to allow Pop-up windows to open from that site. Click the 'Always allow' option, wait until the page loads again, then try clicking the button one more time.
In Netscape browser, go to ‘Tools’ and select ‘Popup Manager’ and then ‘Manage Popups’. In the window that opens up, type the URL of the site you are trying to add a gift from (i.e. www.target.com), click the ‘Add’ button and then ‘OK’.
In Mozilla Firefox browser, go to ‘Tools’ and select ‘Options’. In the window that opens up, under the ‘Web Features’ tab, click the ‘Allowed Sites’ button (across from ‘Block Popup Windows’). Then, in the small window type the URL of the site you are trying to add a gift from (i.e. www.target.com), click ‘Allow’ and then ‘OK’.
In AOL browser, go to ‘Safety’ and select ‘Web Pop-Up’. In the window that opens up, under the ‘Web Pop-Ups’ tab, type the URL of the site you are trying to add a gift from (i.e. www.target.com), click ‘Add’ and then ‘Save’.
In Safari browser for Mac, go to the top menu bar, select 'Safari' and uncheck the 'Block Pop-Up Windows' option.
Now you should be able to easily add gifts.

When I add a gift, the wrong image is shown. What should I do? |
When you click the 'Gotta Have It' button and the 'Add Gift' window appears, if you don't see the correct item image, simply check the box below the image and a selection of images will appear (on the right hand side of that window) where you'll have a choice of several images to choose from. If you don't see the correct image in the list of choices, please select the last image in the list, 'No Image Available' and we'll fix the image manually. |

I added a gift but the image is unavailable. What can I do? |
Our automatic Capture Image system will update unavailable images. If the gift doesn't show an image after 48 hours, it means that our system could not find a proper image for that gift.
If you find an image of the item you added to your wishlist, please send it to us. If you can find a web page that contains that image, please send us the direct link using the message box on the right so that we can add it on your gifts section (copy from your browser and paste to the e-mail message). In order to change the item image correctly, please provide the account holder’s name, the exact title of item and the price. This information will allow Customer Care to make the proper image corrections.

I added a gift but its link does not work. |
If the ‘Buy Gift’ button does not work, you may have added those items from the shopping cart at the website. GotVCU.com strongly suggests that you do not add gifts from a shopping cart. These items do not show up properly on your wishlist and make it very difficult for your guests to purchase the gift for you.
To make it easier for your guests to buy you those items, please go back to the store’s website, find the items you desire and add them to your wishlist, without adding them first to your shopping cart.
A link may also not work if you added gifts from a website that uses Flash technology. Websites that ask you for your state or ZIP code before entering can also be problematic.
If items listed on your wishlist are no longer available, if the store discontinued carrying an item, or if it simply is out of stock, the link may not work, either.
If you've added gifts from a shopping cart or from a problematic website, go back to your wishlist and add new items to your wishlist. You can easily log in and delete the items that are causing the problem by going to the 'Manage Gifts' page and checking the small box on the left side of the gift you want to delete. Then click the ‘Delete Checked Items’ button. GotVCU.com will ask you if you are sure you want to delete the checked gifts; Click ‘Yes’ to delete those items.

What happens if I add an item to my wishlist but later it becomes unavailable at the store? |
We suggest that if the item you added to your wishlist becomes out of stock or unavailable (no longer existing), you should delete it from your wishlist and look for the same item at a different store. If you find a store that carries the item you want, simply add it to your wishlist. If you have difficulty finding the same item at a store, please contact us using the message box on the right and provide the entire item title, price, description, etc. and we will try to find the item for you.
We do our best to check if an item is out of stock on each wishlist. If it is not available for purchase, we will let your visitors know.

How do I change the order of the gifts in my wishlist? |
You can easily change the order of your gifts to be listed by price, either ‘Low to High’ or ‘High to Low’. Please log in to your account and click the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. On the top of that page, select the order you prefer and click ‘Update’. Your guests will view your gifts by the order you chose.

How do I install the ‘Gotta Have It’ button to my browser? |
If you're a member and have not yet installed the 'Gotta Have It' button, click the 'Welcome' tab and underneath it you will see 'Install Gotta Have It button'. Please click it and select the browser you currently use (which is above and before step 1). Once you've selected the browser, follow the simple instructions on how to install the 'Gotta Have It' button. If you follow the proper instructions for your browser, the button should appear in your 'Links' toolbar.
If you added the button but can't see it, please go to 'View' and make sure the 'Links' toolbar is checked (under 'Toolbars'). If the 'Links' toolbar is checked, the button might be on the right side of your browser. Please look for a small arrow by the name 'Links' and drag it to the left side of the browser. The 'Links' toolbar will now appear along with the 'Gotta Have It' button.

In the ‘Edit Gift’ page you will find you can edit the gift title, price, currency, quantity, category and notes. Please make sure to click the 'Save Changes' button after you make any changes. |

How do I delete a gift I added on my wishlist? |
To delete a gift please log in to your account and go to 'Manage Gifts'. Click the 'Edit Gift' button in the row of the item you wish to delete. In the 'Edit Gift' page, click 'Delete This Gift' and then 'Yes' when asked if you are sure. Now that gift should be removed from your wishlist.
You may also delete multiple gifts at once by going to ‘Manage Gifts’ page and checking the small box on the left side of the image of the item you want to delete. I was notified that a gift was purchased, but the gift is not marked as 'Purchased' on my wishlist. Why? |
If you received an e-mail from GotVCU.com notifying you that an item was purchased for you, but the item is not marked as purchased on your wishlist, it's possible that one of your guests restored an item she/he marked as purchased. Sometimes guests go to buy an item but decide not to complete the purchase transaction, and accidentally mark the gift as purchased. When they realize that the item they were viewing is marked as purchased they can restore the item themselves or request for us to do so for them. |

How can I see which of my gifts were bought and by whom? |
You can view the gifts purchased on your wishlist by clicking the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. In this section you will see all the gifts from your wishlist. Look under the 'Purchased By' column to find the name of the person who bought the gift for you and the quantity of the purchase. If the gift giver is listed as N/A (not available), it means that she/he chose to hide their name from you.
You have the option to be surprised by clicking 'Hide Purchase Info' which will hide any information regarding the purchases. To cancel this option simply click 'Show Purchase Info'.
You can also view which gift was purchased by looking at your wishlist as a guest. A gift that was purchased will be covered by a message saying “This Gift has already Been Purchased”, unless it did not meet the quantity desired.

Simply log in to your account and select the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. Click the ‘Hide Purchase Info’ button on the top of the table and all of the purchase information will disappear. How do I group my gifts into different categories? |
To create a category on your wishlist you need to log in to your account and click the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. Then click the ‘Edit Categories’ button and under the 'Create a New Category' section, add a category title. Please make sure you click the ‘Add Category’ button when you finish.
To place the gifts added on your wishlist into different categories, log in to your account, select the 'Manage Gifts' tab, find the item you want to move in the list of gifts and click the 'Edit Gift' button in that row. In the 'Edit Gift' page, select a different category from the drop-down list and click 'Save Changes'. Now that item should appear under the category you chose.
When you add a new item to your wishlist, you have the option of selecting a category for that item so that it will automatically appear under the chosen category.

How do I move a gift from one category to another? |
To place the gifts added on your wishlist into different categories, simply log in to your account, select the 'Manage Gifts' tab, find the item you want to move in the list of gifts and click the 'Edit Gift' button in that row. In the 'Edit Gift' page, select the category you prefer from the drop-down list and click 'Save Changes'. Now the item should appear under the category you chose.

What is the ‘Private’ category? |
The 'Private' category can only be viewed by YOU. It is a great tool that many of our members use for their own shopping list of future gifts. For example, if you would like two similar gifts, but you want someone to buy you one of them first, you can "save" the other one under the 'Private' category. Then, once the first item is bought, you can easily change the category of the second item to make it visible on your gift list for visitors. |

To add gifts to your wishlist without showing them to your guests, simply add them to the 'Private' category which can only be viewed by YOU (select ‘Private’ from the drop down menu when adding a gift). It is a great tool that many of our members use for their own shopping list of future gifts. |

How many categories can I set up on my registry? |
You can have up to six categories on your registry. We suggest categorizing your gifts based on the types of gifts you are listing. For example, if you're registering for a baby shower, you may consider categorizing your gift list into baby toys, baby essentials, baby gear, baby travel, etc. You may also create a family registry and categorize by family members’ names. |

How do I buy a gift for someone using GotVCU.com? |
First, it is important to understand that GotVCU.com is not the store that you purchase the item from, but rather the wishlist that the items are listed on. Through our website, we can direct you to all of the stores that carry the items listed on your friend's wishlist, but keep in mind that GotVCU.com does not sell products to you directly. Once you're directed to a store, you must complete the purchase transaction there.
When you find your friend’s account, you'll be taken to his/her wishlist. Enter your name and e-mail address and click the 'Buy Gift' button of the gift you're considering. Our system will then check if the gift is available at the store—if it is, click ‘Continue’. You will then be directed to the store’s website where you can complete the purchase transaction.
Whether you bought the gift or not, once you close the store’s website window you'll see a page where GotVCU.com asks you to report if you purchased the item and if so, what quantity you bought. You'll have several options to choose from, plus the choice of whether or not to hide your name from the account holder. If you select one of the ‘No’ options and click submit, that gift will become available again on the wishlist. If you select one of the ‘Yes’ options and click submit, that gift will become unavailable for others to buy.

How do my guests purchase gifts for me? |
Your guests purchase gifts for you directly from the stores included in your wishlist. The transaction of purchasing and shipping an item will be done at the store itself (your guests will be automatically directed to the store). Once they purchase a gift for you, they are asked by GotVCU.com to mark that gift as ‘Purchased' to prevent other people from purchasing the same gift again.
The process of purchasing a gift is as follows: When your guests find your wishlist they have the option to choose from any of the items that you listed. When the guest decides what they want to buy you, they click the ‘Buy Gift’ button located in the same box as the item. They will then be directed to the store’s website where they can purchase the gift you added on your wishlist.
Whether they bought the gift or not, once they close the website’s window they will see a page where GotVCU.com asks them to report if they purchased the gift. If they select one of the options under ‘No’ and click "Submit", that gift will become available again in the wishlist. If they select one of the options under ‘Yes’ and click submit, that gift will become unavailable for other guests.

How do my guests purchase a gift that I would like more than one of? |
When you add a gift to your wishlist, the ‘Add this Gift’ window requires you to enter a number to represent how many units of that particular gift you want (quantity).
When someone buys a gift for you, GotVCU.com asks them to report how many items of that gift were bought. The quantity report as purchased is automatically reduced from the 'Quantity Desired' number on your wishlist. For example, if you requested two of the same item and someone bought only one, then the Quantity Desired of that gift will be reduced to one. If you requested only one, the gift will become unavailable to prevent other guests from buying you the same item again.

How will my guests know exactly what size, color or other detail of the item I want? |
We highly recommend being as direct and detailed as possible in describing exactly what gift you want (color, size, title, etc). Use the ‘notes’ section of each gift to specify information when you add or edit a gift. When your visitors go to purchase your gift, this kind of information will allow them to purchase exactly what you want.

Can I go to the physical store listed on the wishlist to purchase the gifts rather than buy them online? |
If you buy a gift in a physical store, that purchase is not linked to GotVCU.com, so it will not automatically update on the wishlist. Our service is designed to conveniently allow guests to purchase gifts in a simple and accurate way. Since you will need to view the gifts online, it is easier to simply go to the wishlist, find the gift you want to purchase and click the 'Buy Gift' button. You will be automatically directed to the exact product at the store, and can easily purchase it.
If you decide to purchase a gift at the store, you will need to let GotVCU.com know the status of the gift. After you click the 'Buy Gift' button of a certain item, you will be directed to the store’s website. Close the store’s website window and behind it should be a page where GotVCU.com asks you to report if you bought the gift or not. If you select one of the ‘No’ options and click submit, that gift will become available again in the wishlist. If you select one of the ‘Yes’ options and click submit, that gift will become unavailable for others to buy.

Can my guests buy items from a different vendor than the one listed in the wishlist or buy the gift from a local store? |
It is easiest for your guests to purchase gifts online, directly from the stores included in your wishlist. However, they can also purchase that same gift from any other store that carries the item, online or offline. They can even use our convenient ‘Shop & Save’ section to find hundreds of stores organized by name or category. Once they purchase a gift for you, they are asked to go to your wishlist on GotVCU.com and mark that gift as 'Already Been Purchased' to prevent other people from purchasing the same gift again.
To mark a gift as purchased simply find the item’s listing on the wishlist and click the ‘Buy Gift’ button, located in the same box as the item. You will then be directed to the store’s website. Close that website’s window and you will see a page where GotVCU.com asks you to report if the item was bought or not. Here is where you should answer any of the options under ‘Yes’. If you select one of the options under ‘Yes’ and click submit, that gift will become unavailable for other guests.

How can I buy multiple items at one store to avoid paying individual shipping costs for each gift? |
To buy multiple items at once at the same store, you have two options:
First, you can click ‘Buy Gift’ (for a certain item on the wishlist), and on the store's website add the item to your shopping cart. Then, close that window, go back to your friend’s wishlist, click another item and at the store's website add that item to your shopping cart, as well. When you're done adding items to your shopping cart, you can complete the transaction of purchasing all of those items together at the store.
Another option is once you're directed to a store's website and place the first item in the shopping cart, to continue to look for other items from the wishlist. You can easily print the wishlist or leave the window with the wishlist open at the same time. Once all the items are placed in the cart, continue your checkout on the store’s website. After you purchase multiple items please go back to the wishlist to mark those items as ‘Purchased' to prevent other guests from buying the same items.
If each item directs you to a different store, your only option is to find all the items you wish to buy at the same store and pay for them all at once. Try using the store’s search box to find additional items.

Some of our members add gifts from stores that do not have websites. They are called offline gifts. Offline gifts do not connect you to a store’s website because they are not linked to online stores. If you buy a gift through an account at GotVCU.com, a pop-up window will reconfirm that you actually purchased the gift and how many units of it you bought. You are also asked to include your name in this window, so the recipient will know before the gift arrives who has purchased it for them. You have the option of hiding your name from the account holder until the upcoming event. The account holder will then receive an e-mail informing them of your purchase. |

Since GotVCU.com is not a store but rather the service that directs you to the different stores, we have no control over a store’s inventory. If the item you want to purchase off your friend’s wishlist is no longer available or out of stock, notify the account holder or try to purchase something else off her/his wishlist. |

I went to buy a gift but did not complete the transaction. Now the item is not available on the wishlist. What should I do? |
This could mean one of the following:
1. You marked the gift as purchased. This means that you may have indicated on the ‘Did you buy this Gift’ page that you purchased it. If for some reason you did not buy the gift but plan on returning to your friend’s wishlist to purchase later, you will see that it is marked ‘gift was purchased by you.' To restore it, you'll need to contact us using the message box on the right to let us know the name of the account holder and the exact title of the item you want to buy so that we may restore the gift for you. Once the gift is restored, you'll then be able to access it and complete the transaction at the store’s website.
2. The gift was purchased by someone else at the same time. If the gift does not say ‘This gift was purchased BY YOU’, it means that it was purchased by someone else.

Why can’t I see the gift’s web page when I click ‘Buy Gift’? |
Every gift on a wishlist is linked to the product’s web page at a store. If the link does not open, it could be because it was added improperly from either a shopping cart or a Flash site. Let the account’s owner know about it so that they can re-add that gift from somewhere else or replace it. |

That means that the account holder has not yet added gifts to her/his wishlist. Please refer back to your friend’s wishlist at a later date. |

If you clicked the ‘Buy Gift’ button, all you've completed is the process of getting linked to the store’s website. You are not obligated to any purchase transactions until you actually submit your credit card and personal information. If you did not submit that information, please go back to the store’s website to complete the transaction.
To be redirected to the store you will need to find the gift on your friend’s wishlist and click the ‘Buy Gift’ button. Once you're linked to the store you'll be able to properly complete the purchase transaction through the store's site. You must get a purchase confirmation directly from the store. If you do not, you may not have completed the transaction on their website.
After you complete the transaction, please do not forget to report if you bought the gift or not by answering the ‘Did you buy’ question that will pop-up behind the store’s window.

Since GotVCU.com allows its members to add gifts from any store in the world, a link can sometimes become a non-working link. Please notify us using the message box on the right and provide us with the account holder’s name and the title and price of the gift you're trying to purchase. Customer Care will do its best to resolve any issue you might have.

Even if the account holder’s notes say one thing, an item can still go on sale, become discontinued, or no longer offer free shipping. When in doubt, send your friend an e-mail letting her/him know the situation regarding that particular gift. The information on the store’s website is the most up-to-date information. |

You can easily mark the gift as purchased yourself. Simply go to your wishlist as a guest, click the ‘View Wishlist’ tab and enter your guest’s name and e-mail address (or yours if you do not have the guest’s e-mail). Then click the 'Buy Gift' button of the gift you want to mark as purchased. You will be directed to the store's website. Close that window and you will see behind it a GotVCU.com window that will ask you if you purchased the gift. Select one of the ‘Yes’ options and click ‘submit’ and that gift will be marked as ‘Purchased'. |

We hope you will give your friend the courtesy of responding and keeping their wishlist up to date. |

One of my gifts on my wishlist was marked as purchased before, but now it is available for purchase again. How did this happen? Was this gift purchased or not? |
If a gift on your wishlist was marked as purchased and is now available again, it means that it was restored. When your guest clicked on one of the ‘Yes’ options when asked if they purchased the gift for you, that gift becomes marked as purchased. If that guest later changes her/his mind (it could be for various reasons) they need to send a request to Customer Care along with their name, quantity of purchase and their e-mail address. Customer Care restores the gift for them and then it becomes available again on your wishlist. |

To view a purchase information of a gift, simply log in to your account and click the ‘Manage Gifts’ tab. The name of the gift giver should appear next to the gift. If the name is N/A (not available), it means that the gift giver chose to 'hide' their name and information from you. We find that some guests choose this option simply to keep an element of surprise in the gift-giving process. |

How does my guest mark an item as purchased if they bought it at the store and not online? |
When your guest visits your wishlist, they have the option to choose from any of the items that you listed. When the guest decides what they want to buy you (or finds the item they already bought), they click the ‘Buy Gift’ button located in the same box as the item to be directed to the store’s website where they can purchase the gift you added on your registry. Once they close the store's website window they will see a page where GotVCU.com asks them to report if they bought the gift or not. If they select one of the options under ‘No’ and click ‘Submit’, that gift will become available again in the wishlist. If they select one of the options under ‘Yes’ and click ‘Submit’, that gift will become unavailable for other guests.

A gift on my wishlist is marked as purchased, but I never received it. How can I find out where is it? |
If your wishlist shows 'Already Purchased' items on a gift you did not receive it, it could be that it is on backorder, and still on its way. Or, it could also be that someone marked that item as 'Purchased' by mistake. To prevent strangers from viewing or changing your wishlist, we recommend our members to add a Visitors' Password, that way ONLY your guests will be able to view your wishlist.
Since GotVCU.com is not the store that items are bought from, but rather the service that directs your guests to the different stores, you can not track your items unless you directly contact the store where the item was bought.
Please contact the guest that purchased the gift for you, or go back to the store where your guest purchased the gift (your wishlist can direct you to the store that your guest bought the item from) to get tracking information.

Can I view an item on the website before I decide whether to buy it or not? |
Yes, you can view an item without having to buy it. Find the gift on your friend’s wishlist and click the ‘Buy Gift’ button. If the item is available, click ‘Continue’ and you will be directed to the product’s page at the store. When you finish viewing the item, close the store’s window. After you close the store’s window, GotVCU.com will ask you ‘Did you Buy this Gift?’ There you will have several options to choose from. Since you were just looking at the gift, you will need to select ‘I was just looking’ and click ‘Submit’. This will allow the gift to remain available for you or someone else to purchase it at a later date. |

Why should I provide a shipping address on my wishlist? |
We highly recommend that when you create a wishlist you provide your visitors with the option to send the gift to your address. Many visitors find it convenient to have that kind of information handy for them when purchasing a gift for you. To add a shipping address, log in to your account and click the ‘Edit Wishlist’ tab. Under the ‘Edit Profile’ section you can add your shipping address (under the ‘Shipping Info’ section). Make sure to click the ‘Update’ button so that all your information is saved.
Please note that GotVCU.com does not automatically include the account holder’s shipping address in the purchasing process, and your guest will need to enter it manually.

Do I need to pay shipping twice if I purchase more than one gift from the same store? |
To avoid paying shipping fees twice, you have two options:
First, you can click the 'Buy Gift’ button and on the store's website add the items you want to purchase to your shopping cart. Then close the store’s window and go back to the wishlist. Look for another item and add it to your existing shopping cart at that store as well. When you are done adding items to your shopping cart, you can complete the purchase transaction and all of those items will be shipped from that store.
Another option is once you are directed to a store's website and place the first item in the store’s shopping cart, to stay there and look for other items. You can easily print the wishlist or leave the window with the wishlist open at the same time. All you need to do after you purchase multiple items is to go back to the wishlist to mark those items as 'Already Been Purchased' to prevent other guests from buying the same items.
If you decide to purchase items from different stores, you will need to pay the different store’s shipping rates.

Why is my friend’s personal information not available? |
If your friend’s personal information is not available, it means that they have chosen not to include it. You can ask them to post their information directly as it is very helpful to all their visitors when they visit their wishlist. |

Why can’t I see photos on my friend’s photo gallery? |
If photos are not showing in your friend’s photo gallery, it means that the account holder did not post any pictures yet or simply decided not to. |

How do I tell my friends and family that I have a wishlist at GotVCU.com? |
Use our convenient e-Announcements to inform your friends and family about your wishlist with GotVCU.com. Simply log in to your account and click the ‘Announcement’ tab. You will then have several beautifully designed eCards to choose from. After you enter each e-mail address, your visitors will receive an eCard with a direct link to GotVCU.com. When you send an eCard you will also be able to track what you have sent by clicking 'View history of cards sent', located near the bottom of that same page.

Can my guests respond to my eCards? |
Because all e-Announcements cards are sent from our server, if a recipient of the eCards replies to the e-mail, their reply will automatically be sent to us. We strongly suggest that before you send your eCards to your visitors, you include your e-mail address in the 'Message' section. |

Where can my friends and family see details about my event? |
To enter your event information, simply log in to your registry and click the ‘Edit Wishlist’ tab. Your friends and family will be able to view the event information under the ‘Personal Info’ tab of your wishlist. |

How do I change my Username? |
To change your Username, simply log in to your account and click the 'Edit Wishlist' tab. In the 'Edit Profile' page, under 'Account Info', you will see your Username. All you need to do is enter your new Username and click 'Update'. |

To change your password simply log in to your account and click the 'Edit Wishlist' tab. Under the 'Personal Info' section click the link 'Click to change your password'. A small window will open up allowing you to enter a new password (you will be asked to enter your old password first). How do I change my e-mail address? |
If you would like to change your e-mail address, simply log in to your account and click the 'Edit Wishlist' tab. On the left hand side you will see a section called 'Account Info'. On the E-mail line simply change your e-mail address and click the 'Update' button to save your changes. After you have updated your e-mail address, any notices pertaining to our service (such as gift status) will be sent to the new e-mail address you provided. |

How do I add photos to my gallery? |
Adding photos to your Photo Gallery is simple and quick. Please log in to your account and click the ‘Photo Gallery’ tab. Click the ‘Browse’ button to find the photo you wish to upload from your own computer, choose a gallery from the drop-down list, add a caption if you want, and click ‘Add Photo’. The photo should now appear under your photo gallery. |

My photos are not uploading onto my gallery. Why? |
Make sure that that the size of the image file you are trying to upload is not larger than 300k. To see the size of a photo before you try to upload it, right-click it and select 'Properties'. Do not attempt to upload files with names that includes an apostrophe (ex. Jasper’s first outfit) or any other special character. Rename the image file (ex. Jaspers first outfit) for it to successfully upload to your gallery. |

How do I create a gallery in my Photo center? |
To add a new gallery to your photos, please log in to your account and click the ‘Photo Gallery’ tab. Click ‘Manage Galleries’ from the sub menu on the top, type the new gallery’s title in the text box and click ‘Add Gallery’. Now the gallery should appear in the drop-down menu when you add a new photo. |

Yes. You easily add photos to a specific gallery you created, and then make that gallery hidden from your guests. Please log in to your account and click the ‘Photo Gallery’ tab to add photos to the gallery you wish to hide. (To learn about how to create a new gallery, click the ‘Photo Gallery’ link on the right.) Once you have added the photos to the gallery, please click the ‘Manage Gallery’ link on the sub menu. Choose the gallery you wish to hide from the drop-down list (under ‘Edit Existing Galleries) and select ‘Hide Gallery from Visitors’. Click ‘Update’ to save your changes. |

Yes, you can easily delete an entire gallery at once. Please log in to your account, click the ‘Photo Gallery’ tab and then click the ‘Manage Gallery’ link on the sub menu. Choose the gallery you wish to delete from the drop-down list (under ‘Edit Existing Galleries) and select the ‘Delete Gallery’ option. Click ‘Update’ and then click ‘Yes’ when asked if you;re sure you want to delete that gallery. |

Please click the ‘Forgot Password’ link just below the login information on GotVCU.com login page. You will be asked to enter your username and the security question and answer you used to sign up. Click ‘Submit’ and your password will be sent to your e-mail address. |

I enter my username and password over and over again and still cannot log in to my account. |
It is possible that your browser ‘remembers’ the wrong password, in which case you will need to clear the passwords on your browser.
In Internet Explorer, on the ‘Tools’ menu, click ‘Internet Options’. Then click the ‘Content’ tab and under ‘Personal information’, click ‘AutoComplete’. Then choose ‘Clear Passwords’ and ‘Ok’ to update these settings. This should clear out any wrong passwords your computer may have been remembering. You should now be able to log in to your account.
To delete cookies in Safari, please go to the top menu and click 'Safari', then select 'Preferences'. In the window that opens up, select the 'Security' tab and click the 'Show Cookies' button. Select the cookies from GotVCU.com and click 'Remove' or just click 'Remove All'.
